Backpack Giveaway:
Back-to-school expense can pile up or even sneak up as summer draws closer to an end. Soon stores will be filling up with school supplies. We are seeking to help those who we can in our community.
Where and When:
You can pick up the backpacks at Bethlehem Lutheran Church ( 2100 Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO, 80214) 11 AM to 1 PM on Sunday, August 10th 2025
What:
Join us for our annual backpack blessing on August 10th at both services. All kids who is in school are encouraged to join us at either of our services and bring your backpack to get a special back to school blessing! Come and bring your friends!
What is the Backpack Blessings?
We are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to all the families in our community of Lakewood, Colorado and surrounding areas to join us for our annual event designed to kickstart the upcoming school year in the way of blessing. We encourage kids to bring their backpacks and participate in a special blessing. Additionally, each child will receive a gift as a reminder our constant support.
This event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 10th. The blessing time will take place during each of our two services. The first one starting at 8:30 AM and the second one at 10:00 AM. Our primary hope is to set aside time to ask and remember that Jesus remains at the core of the new school year, guiding and inspiring our children in their academic journey and beyond.
We understand that the start of a new school year can be a challenging time for both parents and children. Therefore, we are excited to extend our support, love, and assistance to the families in the Lakewood community.
